Idk how you all do it. Very few times am I able to get a 'nice' shot of one of my specimens. I want to know how you guys go about photographing your bugs. I use my iphone14 plus which you'd think would be good enough, but most of the work is in the lighting, and unfortunately I can never get a good light source. I try using my headlamp and desk lamp but those always cast a shadow at certain angles and I can't get a top-down view without my phone completely casting a shadow. I can't use natural light because the only access I have to natural light in my room is through one window and it's not filtered through well enough.

I really need to start taking nice photos of my specimens for my website. Please share your photographing tactics and any recommendations you have for me.

My main strategy is to take 178 photos, delete 175, and post the ones that came out best 😅 that and the Google Pixel 8 Pro takes pretty good macro shots for a phone. Great low light shots, too. I'm a pixel fanboy for sure.
