Awesome inverts! On my wishlist for sure! Is this your first captive bred generation? I've heard that Platymeris are parthenogenic, but can have males present. Is that how this species is, or do you just have both males and females?

Thanks It's indeed my first captive bred gen.

Apparently, that parthenogenesis stuff is a rumor, and there's no solid proof for it, which would explain why several people who've owned only females never got offsprings from them. I have two males and a single female by the way.

I saw a thread about someone who got sprayed in the eye by the mombo, and it looked terrible! I'm hoping this will never happen to me. lol

I've been sprayed in the eyes a number of times and as long as you rinse it out and don't rub them the effect is very minor. The bite on the other hand is quite terrible.
