IPB (the forum software company) has recently had some issues with spammers infiltrating the private messaging systems of the software. A human registers an account and then a bot is released. The software company is working on a solution to this recent problem and should have a new update soon. We manually approve all new members to this forum (since the October fiasco), but occasionally those .ru email address slip by us.
I apologize for any unwanted PM's you may have recently received. The software company is constantly trying to stay a few steps ahead of the spammers, but often ends up playing catch-up.
