Seventh Instar
Hello all, I am trying to clear some space on my racks, so I am getting rid of two terrariums for sale or trade. I am only offering local pick up in Southern California for obvious reasons.

The first is 6 3/8" by 6 3/8" by 7 1/4" glass cage with a pothos bush and two pieces of Joshua Tree Bark with screen lid. Perfect for roaches, centipedes, whipspiders, isopods, scorpions, true spiders, etc etc.

The second terrarium has got various darklings that I have collected myself from the Mojave Desert (10, plus or minus a few), including fuzzy darklings, and some Diabolical Ironclad's that I have bought. I suspect it has beetle larvae in the substrate, which is made up of Zoo Med's Reptisoil and sphagnum moss. It has a live pothos bush (not just a single vine, but an actual bush) along with Joshua Tree bark strewn across the surface for hides. The lid has its screen knocked out for looking into the cage from above, but the lid overhangs to prevent escapes.

$35 for the 6 3/8" by 6 3/8" by 7 1/4", $55 for the Beetle Terrarium. $80 for both. Will trade for Assassin Bugs, exotic/rare millipedes, whipspiders other than Phrynus marginemaculatus, isopods other than Porcellionides pruinosus "Powdery Blue", Porcellio scaber "Orange" and "Grey", Armadillidium sp. "Montenegro", Trichorhina tomentosa, and Dwarf Purple's, roaches, cave crickets, and pretty much all other exotic kinds of invertebrates. Open to other offers, just let me know what you got!

Local pick up in the San Bernardino county area, and I am willing to perhaps meet in the middle.

Thanks,

UPDATE: I really need to clear some more space, so I have added three terrariums to the list, along with the other two. Pictures available upon request. Local pick up only.

#1

I have a fully planted 20 gallon high terrarium that has been going for about one-and-a-half years, planted with a bromeliad sprouting 3+ pups that has already flowered, an indoor fern of some kind, and a Heirloom Green Spider Plant, all of which have grown quite a bit to fill in their areas. The right side of the cage needs a plant to fill it in, but otherwise it is fully planted. Wood-wise it has a coconut half hide and a wood branch sticking up straight out of the substrate (great for molting mantises, whipspiders, etc etc. Also a great web anchor point for true spiders and tarantulas), as well as some rotting wood on the substrate. The substrate is made up of ZooMed's Reptisoil and sphagnum moss, with a drainage layer of foam. Current inhabitants of this cage are a few Porcellionides pruinosus "Powdery Blue", lots of Oxidus gracilis, and many worms that came in with the plants. This terrarium is well established, and ready for roaches, frogs, millipedes, spiders, lizards, or whatever else you might want for it! Comes with a lid and a background, and I am asking $275.

#2

The second terrarium is also a 20 gallon high, substrate made up of recycled coconut fiber and sphagnum moss. This is a relatively new start-up, but it has a Variegated Spider Plant and Heirloom Green Spider Plant that have already started to grow out, along with a Lucky Bamboo cutting and three pothos cuttings that are still starting to root. A driftwood piece lies on the left side to provide cover, while on the right side a tall piece of drift wood is partly buried in the substrate and rises up to about 2-3 inches from the top of the cage; great web anchor points for true spiders and tarantulas! A rotting Oak log is partially buried beneath the the substrate, providing food for isopods, millipedes, beetles, and whatever else you have that eats rotting wood! Seeded with springtails and Dwarf White Isopods, along with some fungus gnats that somehow found their way to my setup that make great food for dart frogs and small spiders. Selling for $200.

#3 Already advertised above.

The third cage is a well-established terrarium that has got various darklings that I have collected myself from the Mojave Desert (10, plus or minus one or two), including fuzzy darklings, and some Dialbolical Ironclad's that I have bought. I suspect it has beetle larvae in the substrate, which is made up of Zoo Med's Reptisoil and sphagnum moss. It has a live pothos bush (not just a singe vine, but an actual bush) and a dead fern, along with Joshua Tree bark strewn across the surface for hides. The lid has its screen knocked out for looking into the cage from above, but the lid overhangs to prevent escapes. $55.

#4 Already advertised above.

The fourth terrarium is a 6 3/8" by 6 3/8" by 7 1/4" glass cage with a pothos bush and two pieces of Joshua Tree Bark leaned up against the glass. Comes with its screen lid and pin. Perfect for small roaches, centipedes, whipspiders, isopods, scorpions, true spiders, etc etc. $35.

#5

Finally, I have a regular 10 gallon tank with a pothos bush and large piece of driftwood occupying the middle of the cage. The substrate is made up of recycled coconut fiber. I will be adding a Variegated Spider Plant to it before selling. Asking $45.

Or take all five terrariums for $500.

--------

I also just set up a Dwarf White Isopod starter colony for $10. Isopods are doing well and growing.

I will trade for exotic millipedes, isopods other than Porcellionides pruinosus "Powdery Blue", Porcellio scaber "Orange" and "Grey", Armadillidium sp. "Montenegro", Trichorhina tomentosa, and Dwarf Purples, assassin bugs (Platymeris sp., Pystalla sp.), roaches (looking for ornamental species more than feeders), whispiders other than Phrynus marginemaculatus, cave crickets, huntsman spiders, beginner pursewebs and trapdoors, stick insects, bromeliads, carnivorous plants, and pretty much all other exotic and cool looking creatures. Just let me know what you got!

Thanks,
