First Instar
I figured I'd make an informal thread for the research I'm doing on red runners. I'd also love it if our forum experts chimed in with any input they've got! The synopsis is I'm looking at the macronutrients (and maybe micronutrients we'll see) of these guys in a variety of sizes. I wanted to do it per instar but the answer I got from RoachCrossing was essentially that would ridiculously hard to find out lol. The roaches are being feed dog food, spring mix, and carrots daily. Usually. I just make sure they're fed for several days straight before I start assays. I probably need to do a control group, but I'm not sure how long I should starve the roaches for.
Got a heat mat at 85-90F on one side and they're at room humidity. So somewhere between 40-50%? Probably less.
I'll add more details later when I'm less of a vegetable.
