Hello, this is Mark. I am interested in obtaining cockroach fossils from the La Brea tar pit and Mazon Creek. Please let me know if anyone has any for sale or has any possible contacts.

I wouldn't think that insects would be very easy to find in tar pits. I've seen alot of baltic amber come up for bid though with roaches in it. Are you doing research on Ice Age roaches? That would be pretty interesting. I'm guessing you would have better luck finding some sort of proto-roaches in the Mazon Creek formation since it's Pennsylvanian. If you find some get some pictures up though!! Good Luck.
