I want to breed roaches, but I do not own a heater. Are there any roaches that are good for a beginner to breed and can breed at room temperature? Thanks in advance!

Seconding the B.giganteus and H.tenebricosa.

My G.portentosa never really started breeding for me until I got rid of the heat lamp. Probably coincidence, but they're still breeding.

Here are a few that require temps in the low to mid 80s:

Aeluropoda insignis (Flat Horn Madagascar Hissing Roach)

Elliptorhina chopardi (Dwarf Madagascar Hissing Roach)

Eurycotis decipiens (Zebra Roach)

Eurycotis opaca "Burgundy" (Scrub Roach)

Gromphadorhina grandidieri (Tiger Madagascar Hissing Roach)

Gromphadorhina oblongonota (Wide Horn Madagascar Hissing Roach)

Gromphadorhina portentosa (Traditional Madagascar Hissing Roach)

Oxyhaloa duesta (Red-Head Roach)

If you have gotten these species to breed at 75 F please let us know. I could not get them to breed at that temps so I bumped them up into the 80s.

Sorry but the 80F is not a room temperature

Shelfordella lateralis might breed fast even at room temp (68F or so during winter).
I am not sure if 'fast' but I think they can breed... (yes the 68F is room temperature :) )

Yes, I think you are right. When I think about it my Red Runners did not really breed that fast, it was probably just the nymphs growing bigger that made it seem like they multiplied.
