Greetings all,

I've had a lot of success with my Schultesia lampyridiformis (Firefly Mimic) colony and am looking to slightly downsize/share the love. These guys are great specimens and have been a resounding success for me in culture. I want to emphasize that they make a great option for display, but are maybe even better for feeding--they're very soft bodied, active, and do not burrow. Additionally, they're much more of an ease to breed, with less cannibalism and space requirements than Dubia. The nymphs are a superlative microfeeder for small mantids, dart frogs, Tarantula spiderlings, etc. If you have any questions, please reach out.

How small are the smallest nymphs? I'm looking at alternative foods for feeding betta fish.

Oh my, for whatever reason I didn't see this earlier. The nymphs are quite small, I would say comparable to the average Beta pellet food.

Do these climb? And if so which life stages do? Are they also fliers?

Wow, my fault for not checking this thread more often. Please PM if you're so inclined! Yes, these are climbers (at all stages), but a Vaseline barrier works. They are not really fliers, can flutter a bit.
