Selective breeding

I have a classic hisser with a "pancake" shape.

I have never seen one like that and I wanted to have more like him.

How do you make selective breeding ?

I have putted him in a smaller container with 4 females...but I have questions about it.

--------- How much space is needed ?

I have read that female roaches avoid having more babies due to overcrowding...so how much space do I need if I have 1 male and 4 females ?

-------- The "always pregnant syndrome":

I have read that roaches need to mate once in their lifetime to get pregnant for life.

So if I see babies how do I know if it was from the selected male ?

If she stays pregnant for life why the males continue to bother the females ?

Maybe she can select between breeding babies from the first mating or select a new male to breed ?

Pancake shape usually means recently molted, once they eat more they get long and fill out.

Can someone say anything abouth the "always pregnant syndrome" ?

Is it true to hissers ?

Whether or not they need to breed to have babies, I'm sure the studs like to have fun. Ha Ha!
