Termites in wood

I found this really cool piece of oak wood in the woods around my house yesterday, but it has termites in it. Is there any way to remove the termites without having to bake the wood? I thought about submerging it in water.

Why not keep them, they are roaches after all lol. I would drown them like you suggested. If it were summer I would leave it in you car when you park that way I cooks them but does not damage the wood ( I think. ) hope this helps!

I ended up soaking the wood in water then putting it in the oven with aluminum foil below the wood. I did try to shake most of them out though before soaking it. Thanks for the suggestions though I will probably try one of your methods next time.
