My termite colony is slowly getting established. The individual inside the red circle is one of the first born in the colony, which has no queen. Hopefully their numbers will grow and I will one day have a huge colony of them!
Actually, when you isolate a variety of life stages from a colony with a queen, you may sometimes grab secondary reproductives or individuals that can be transformed into new secondary reproductives. In most termite colonies aside from the main queen there's also a good amount of secondary reproductives, though in this case I think a worker or a younger individual that hadn't differentiated yet became a secondary reproductive.
