Howdy everyone, I am new to this site. I am a pest control tech who has an interest in different types of pets and I am looking to get a few hissing roaches soon, I have been reading hints/tips for what to do. Needless to say my g/f is not thrilled about my new interest but I told her I was doin it anyways lol

Welcome to the forum! Tell your g/f that it is arguably the cleanest most low maintenance pet you will ever have, so its no big deal.... ;)

 
Good relationships are about compromise. Buy her a fuzzy toilet seat cover and call it even.

Welcome! I was a certified pesticide applicator, termite inspector, etc. years ago. I've since changed my mind about tropical roaches (still have the same hatred for the pest species though).

 
Nice to have you hear PAbugman! Many of the roach hobbyist's I've known have had occupations associated with pest control. Usually the interest in bugs preceded the interest in pest control since there aren't a lot of other paying jobs in that area.
