picked this guy up a little while ago (say 2 weeks) and pretty happy with him and finally got him out to take some decent photo's hope you like.

thay aren't common because thay are picky eaters, almost only eat frogs and toads. i got it from some one who couldn't care for it any more because he was having a kid.

 
You could try earthworms, I have read that some will eat them.I like how the hognose snakes behave when bothered, they have a convincing death feighning ability, if the cobra imitation doesn't work. :lol: Don't dispose of a "dead" snake by accident! :o

 
the top of my dream herp list, right above: hogg island boa, yellow anaconda, pygmy rattlesnake, pine rattler, Tokay and Caribbean house geckos, fire bellied toads(by the way heard hognosed snakes were immune to toxins of these and good food source... any advice?), water and clawed frogs.

 
I've got 4 westerns but i've been curious about easterns for some time. But a good opportunity has not presented itself. I've managed to ween troublesome westerns to mice by senting it with tuna juice. I just froze the juice outa the can and rubbed the mice on it when there were being difficult.
