Bird seed for mealworms?

Will mealworms eat bird seed? And can they live without any moisture? Thanks in advance!

Most bird seeds have tough, slick skin so i don't think they'll be able to crack it and eat it.

And they definitely need moisture by feeding them succulent fruits and veggies
