D. granti larvae care???

Looks like im going to get a hercules beetle larvae from a friend and have NO clue/experience/care skills for beetles at all (LOL) can someone help a fellow out with a simple care sheet that will help this guy survive? all comments are welcome if they help out! Thanks!

Mix oak leaves with oak sawdust and wood and add compost (make a lot of it). It might work.

Is the wood absolutely needed or can I skip it? By hard wood or does it have to be oak?

Other hardwood also would probably be similar. Yeah, you can skip it if you are using sawdust:

Just for the head warning. When using sawdust, you must ferment them COMPLETELY! If not, gas and heat produced from fermenting process can kill the larvae.
