This is my favorite all time rhinoceros beetle:
Wow, he's a beauty. I haven’t seen one with so much of the green coloration on ‘em. Last year there was a guy I knew that had one but it was quite a bit lighter in color, I think it was D. tityus. How much does he weigh in at?

 
My favorite would have to be the native stags, but if I could ever get my hands on some other beetles I'd definitely have some new favorites.

 
It's funny.. I was just looking at these on your website today Peter!! I am super interested in getting a pair from you.. Just need to save some money up for them!

I want those, and the blue death feigning beetles.. I think those are just the bomb!

 
i live in Morrow County and my son finds them in the woods all the time. You are right they are very difficult but for some reason I have noticed a spike in their population along with Mantids population spiking in 2011

 
I'm surprised you find them so far north in Ohio. Are you sure they're not the more northerly, brown Xyloryctes rhinos he's finding? Any photos?
