Hiya Orin!The males and females look similar thought the males are smaller. The way to check the gender is the same as for other blaberids. Look at the underside of the end of the abdomen, the last visible segment will be tiny if it's a male, large on the female.
If you see a nymph larger than an adult it's a female nymph and the adult you're comparing it to is a male (almost certainly).Hiya Orin! Ah, heck! So there's no speedy way to feed them off?![]()
So what are the brown/purple ones? They can't be juvies because they're bigger than the adults in many cases. :blink:
